An inter-disciplinary conference on
technology, national security and civil liberties
November 17-19th , 2006

Papers are invited from all academic disciplines but especially philosophy, law, political science and computer science. Keynote addresses will be given by Howard Schmidt and Dave Aucsmith. Six peer reviewed papers by registrants will be selected for publication in Interface: The Journal of Education, Community and Values. Authors will attend a VIP dinner with keynote speakers on Saturday evening at conference expense. All finished papers by conference registrants will be published in an electronic conference proceedings document for distribution on the world wide web through the Pacific Institute for Ethics & Social Policy and the Berglund Center for Internet Studies. Papers should be between 10 and 20 pages in length. Summaries of selected papers will be presented by their author at the conference. To be considered papers must be sent electronically by November 3rd, 2006. Papers will be posted prior to the conference.
